Double handled TDR reel

Has anyone tried or got one of this? How does it compare to the single handled model? Your views/input would be appreciated. Bazza

I think it is more fashion than function Baz. I have four single handled ones and can see no advantage in changing them over to double handles.

Ditto what Neil says, I only haveone at the moment, it took a little getting used too, after using double handles for years but I see no reason to spend the extra dosh for a double jobbie now I havegot used t it!

Personally Im trying to convert a double handled Shimnao to single handle at the moment ... dont like them, but each to their own

I thought the reels were being sold at the same price ????? whether it is single or double or at least thats what my eyes thought when they last looked on Harrisons Tackle website :rolleyes:

Personally I don't mind if there double or single as long as they do a job !!!

I have been thinking of getting a couple of the doubled handled TDR'S as it looks like the handles fold down by pressing a button.
Ihave got some of the single handled ones but the un screw collapsable handle really gets on my nerves.

Thanks for your views. Out of interest I contacted Daiwa re the handles and whether or not the double handle fitted the 'old' version. They do and they can be bought as a separate item - silver handle £21 + £2 p&p, Blue handle £40 + £2 p&p! I've got the single handle but wondered if the double improved the performance in any way, not that I thnk that's possible.

I think its very simple, single handel = float, double handle = feeder/ lead. cheers, John
